Research & Kooperations

Our focus is on the application-oriented development and use of quantitative methods to solve business decision problems. These often originate from the production industry, but are also used in many other areas, including logistics, rail transport, personnel and time scheduling as well as hospital management. New technologies, advancing digitalization and the specific requirements of practice are constantly bringing new challenges and potential. In addition to applied research, we also dedicate ourselves to method-oriented theoretical research. In particular, we use techniques of operations research, including mathematical programming, column generation, constructive heuristics, metaheuristics and simulation. We also use artificial intelligence methods to solve complex decision-making problems even more efficiently.

You can find an overview of our current research projects as well of our high-ranking publications on these pages.
